This is a really exciting time to join this growing Life Sciences organisation which is preparing for its next round of funding. We are looking for a qualified finance professional who can ensure strong financial controls, maintain accurate reporting and support long term financial planning.

Growing Life Sciences organisation which operated Hybrid and flexible working.

The Financial Controller will report directly to the Head of Finance, taking ownership of financial and management reporting. You will work closely with the Senior Management Team to ensure the business achieves it's goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including a team of two.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and quarterly investor reporting.
  • Manage monthly cashflow processes, optimising the accuracy of forecast runway.
  • Act as a key partner to R&D and project management teams and operational areas of the business.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of the UK statutory accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of the R&D tax credit claim.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the annual statutory audit.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.

You will be a ACA, CIMA , ACCA qualified finance professional. Ideally you will have gained experience in a similar R&D environment. You will have strong interpersonal skills and be a skilled communicator with a hands on mindset.
