The ideal candidate will have experience in planning and implementing warehouse flow and layout, and will have a strong understanding of an automated warehouse operation.
The key responsibilities for the role of a Logistics Planner will be:
- Analyse and optimise warehouse layouts to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and implement flow plans for incoming and outgoing goods.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth work flow and coordination.
- Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular stock checks.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Oversee the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
- Managing the flow of products on a continuous basis through the automated warehouse.
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Logistics Planner or similar role.
- Strong analytic skills with the ability to analyse data and identify trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and supply chain management.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience using WMS systems, Manhattan would be preferable.
- Experience working in an automated warehousing environment would be preferred.
- A degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain management or a related field is preferred but not essential.
The successful candidate for the role will receive:
- A salary of up to £45,000
- A 40 hour working week.
