Flow Room Shift Manager

Our client, a leading logistics and warehousing company based in Coalville, is looking for a Logistics Planner to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning and implementing warehouse flow and layout, and will have a strong understanding of an automated warehouse operation.

The key responsibilities for the role of a Logistics Planner will be:

Analyse and optimise warehouse layouts to improve efficiency and productivity.
Develop and implement flow plans for incoming and outgoing goods.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth work flow and coordination.
Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular stock checks.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
Oversee the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
Managing the flow of products on a continuous basis through the automated warehouse.

The successful candidate will have:

Proven experience as a Logistics Planner or similar role.
Strong analytic skills with the ability to analyse data and identify trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of warehouse operations and supply chain management.
Proficient in using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Experience using WMS systems, Manhattan would be preferable.
Experience working in an automated warehousing environment would be preferred.
A degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain management or a related field is preferred but not essential.

The successful candidate for the role will receive:

A salary of up to £45,000
A 40 hour working week.
