Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Day shifts: Monday - Friday + Occasional backshift
Location: Leicestershire
Salary: £40,000 per annum
EA First are working exclusively with a large 3PL organization who are bolstering their breakdown & mechanical reliability team during a huge period of growth following a successful, high-profile acquisition.
They are on the lookout for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to lead on the PPM and reactive maintenance of their heavy duty distribution operation
Job responsibilities:
- Fulfill maintenance and production line tasks as requested or identified, documenting activities and actions in relevant databases or systems.
- Perform routine daily, weekly, and monthly planned maintenance, recording results for internal and external line checks, as well as preventative maintenance line tasks.
- Execute routine tasks such as NPI configuration, basic repairs, line reconfiguration, cleaning, and general line maintenance.
- Monitor and manage inventories of tools, spares, stock, and general items, documenting the outcomes.
- Collaborate with Process Engineers and QA team to plan, prioritize, and execute assigned tasks.
- Accompany and orient contractors for engineering activities on-site, ensuring adherence to QEHS and local requirements.
- Ensure timely and budget-conscious completion of maintenance and engineering tasks, regardless of origin.
- Uphold QEHS compliance by ensuring the availability and use of proper training and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain and document inventories of tools, spares, general hardware stock, and other items.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a maintenance engineer ina multi skilled position
- Experience working in a fully automated setting
- Experience working with electro mechanical and electro pneumatic production equipment. IR and /or UV laser experience desirable
