Are you an experienced Purchasing or Planning Coordinator with a background in manufacturing? Looking for the next step in your career in a collaborative and dynamic small team? We have the perfect opportunity for you!

My client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Purchasing or Planning Coordinator. You will play a key role in driving operational success, working closely with suppliers, production, and internal teams to ensure smooth, efficient processes.

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure materials are available to meet production demand.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels, avoiding overstock or stockouts.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and forecast material requirements based on production needs and market trends.
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms for raw materials and components.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and reliable deliveries.
  • Manage purchase orders (POs), ensuring accuracy and alignment with production schedules and budget constraints.
  • Use ERP and MRP systems to manage and update production plans, inventory records, and purchasing data.
  • Ensure all relevant data in the ERP/MRP systems is accurate and up-to-date, facilitating smooth production and supply chain operations.
  • Generate reports and analyse data to support planning and procurement decisions
  • Monitor and control purchasing costs to ensure they stay within budget.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings through supplier negotiations or process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier agreements, and production schedules for audit and compliance purposes.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP and MRP systems.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a small, dedicated team.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and problem-solving

  • Salary: Up to £40,000 (depending on experience).
