My client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Purchasing or Planning Coordinator. You will play a key role in driving operational success, working closely with suppliers, production, and internal teams to ensure smooth, efficient processes.
- Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure materials are available to meet production demand.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels, avoiding overstock or stockouts.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and forecast material requirements based on production needs and market trends.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms for raw materials and components.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and reliable deliveries.
- Manage purchase orders (POs), ensuring accuracy and alignment with production schedules and budget constraints.
- Use ERP and MRP systems to manage and update production plans, inventory records, and purchasing data.
- Ensure all relevant data in the ERP/MRP systems is accurate and up-to-date, facilitating smooth production and supply chain operations.
- Generate reports and analyse data to support planning and procurement decisions
- Monitor and control purchasing costs to ensure they stay within budget.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings through supplier negotiations or process improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier agreements, and production schedules for audit and compliance purposes.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in ERP and MRP systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a small, dedicated team.

- Salary: Up to £40,000 (depending on experience).
