In this role you will support with the development of data systems and reporting, integral for the operations and engineering functions to provide a seamless service to the customer
My client is a global third party logistics provider, who are looking to bring on board a SAP Data Analyst based in Wolverhampton.
The key responsibilities of the SAP Data Analyst based in Wolverhampton will included but not be limited to the following:
- Develop and maintain tools for system validation to ensure smooth operational processes and prompt rectification of data source errors.
- Construct and upkeep reports, as well as tools for PFEP extraction and change management.
- Provide support during daily meetings with operations to communicate system errors and offer effective solutions.
- Generate and update daily engineering flash reports.
- Regularly report to the broader SMART team on various metrics, such as store fill rates, KLT return data, decant prioritisation, and unresolved errors from dashboards.
- Extend the use of data visualisation tools throughout the site and across departments.
- Aid in the creation of additional dashboards and enhancements in functionality, particularly focusing on operational, goods receiving, and shipping areas.
- Collaborate with the broader Continuous Improvement (CI) team to enhance system processes efficiency.
- Produce SMART metrics and comprehensive reports for management review.
The successful candidate for the SAP Data Analyst based in Wolverhampton will have the following experience, skill set and characteristics.
- Previous experience with SAP WMS, preferably acquired within a large-scale manufacturing or logistics/distribution setting.
- Proficient in advanced Excel functions, encompassing IF statements, VLOOKUPS, nested formulas, graphical representation of statistical data, and Pivot tables.
- Additional IT skills would be advantageous, such as SQL, SAP, statistical analysis, BI reporting exposure, and dashboard production, although not mandatory.
- Demonstrated strong communication abilities, with a knack for articulating complex system information to non-IT stakeholders in an understandable manner.
