They're looking for two Solutions Design Engineers (warehouse and/or transport) to help create, design and develop best in class solutions for the customers.

As Solutions Design Engineer you will help to support the business in designing technical and commercial solutions for both new and existing clients across the network.
With new customers you will look at how an operation should be laid out within a new or existing facility, labour planning, cost modelling and investigating potential risks and issues. With existing clients your focus will be around reviewing the operation and looking into operational improvements with the purpose of reducing costs and enhancing customer service.
Other responsibilities include:
- Undertake Solutions Design assignments such as; scoping, data requirements, warehouse modelling, transport modelling, sensitivity analysis / scenario testing.
- Client satisfaction - internal and external clients should believe they have received value from a project and be willing to discuss further work
- Delivery of projects to defined time and quality standards.
- Effective communication on project progress and issues to all stakeholders, including views on how they are to be resolved
- Manage changing priorities across different assignments and flag difficulties to line manager
- Maintain understanding of developments across the network - e.g. standards, performance, related projects
- Previous experience within solutions design role (warehouse or transport).
- Knowledge of other tools i.e. AutoCAD, CAST, Paragon and CLASS.
- An exceptional understanding of logistics design from a manual and automated perspective as well as an operational perspective.
- An extensive knowledge of material handling equipment, its applications and limitations in pallet, case and tote handling, broad knowledge of systems design including WMS / WCS systems.
- Highly experienced in identifying winning concepts.
- An excellent communicator with great business acumen who can translate the ideas and solutions identified into a language that the client understands.
- Highly self-motivated team player, that is able to interact with a large group of stakeholders.
- Work under pressure in an environment where task deadlines or approach to a bid can change.
- Knowledge of warehouse or transport resource modelling.
- Experience of using costing tools.
- Experience of project management.
- Within commutable distance to Coventry.
£50,000 - £60,000 + benefits.
