Well, there’s a question! In many ways the question is a yes or no answer, but of course in reality it can be so much more complex.
When it comes to whether you look for a new role, of course everyone’s motivators will be different, but as we start the New Year, you may have reflected and made the decision that now’s the right time to see what else is out there.
Here’s my top 5 tips on making that all-important decision and some things to start thinking about:-
1) Do you actually want to leave? Or are any/all your reasons for looking resolvable?
2) Understanding what’s most important to you in your next role.
3) Establishing your negotiables and non-negotiables (i.e hybrid, location, salary, hours).
4) Be prepared to commit the time required to your job search.
5) Investment of time into getting your CV on point.
And last but not least, my final piece of advice would be to connect with me or one of my colleagues, the power that a (good) recruiter can add to your job search is significant.
